The Evandale is a two-layer jacket. With two-layer jackets, the membrane is connected to the outer fabric. On the inside, the membrane is protected by a loose liner. This liner is not attached to the membrane. Two-layer jackets are more flexible than three-layer jackets and are ideal for everyday use as well as for hiking with a light backpack. If you are going to hike for several days with a heavy backpack, it is better to purchase a three-layer jacket.

The Evandale is produced without the use of environmentally polluting fluorocarbons (PFCs). The use of PFCs in the textile finish ensures that clothing becomes water, dirt and grease repellent. An alternative finish without the use of PFCs has been used in this jacket. This makes the product water and dirt repellent. Only an oil repellent effect cannot currently be achieved with a PFC-free finish.
