FjällRäven Sten Fleece Men's Sweater

The FjällRäven Sten Fleece men's sweater has a reinforcement of strong and durable G-1000 fabric on the shoulders. This prevents friction and chafing when you wear a backpack. You are extra protected against cold wind thanks to the high collar and a protective flap of the fleece between the zipper and the chin. The Sten Fleece has two spacious side pockets with zipper.

The fleece material of the FjällRäven Sten Fleece is produced in an environmentally friendly way where the yarns are spun and dyed at the same time, which means that this model uses approximately 50% less water and 31% less energy than with a standard produced fleece sweater. The men's sweater is made of G-1000 Original material.

G-1000 material

G-1000 is a fabric developed by FjällRäven itself. It's a classic that allows you to brave different activities and climates all year round, from the tropics to the polar regions. The fabric consists of 65% polyester and 35% cotton that are woven closely together. This fabric was then treated with Greenland Wax. This combination makes G-1000 a popular outdoor fabric and has a number of practical properties:

• Durable: G-1000 fabric from FjällRäven is very durable and therefore long-lasting. In addition, it is lightweight.
• Water repellent: Thanks to the Greenland Wax, clothing with G-1000 can withstand short rain showers or moisture. In addition, it is quick-drying.
• Windproof: FjällRäven clothing with G-1000 is almost completely windproof. If you impregnate it with Greenland Wax, you are completely protected against wind.
• Breathability: An important property of G-1000 is high breathability. This means that your body stays nice and dry, even during strenuous activities.
• UV protection: Thanks to G-1000 you are almost completely protected from the sun's rays, reducing the risk of burns.
• Mosquito-Proof: The tightly woven fabrics keep mosquitoes and other flying insects away. Ideal if you are in the mountains, the forest or in a warm climate. Note: G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.
