The outer material of the 982 Quazar GTX is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.

DE 982 Quazar GTX contains a GORE-TEX ® membrane. The GORE-TEX ® membrane ensures that the 982 Quazar GTX are waterproof, but still breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.
