Meindl Utah GTX Men's Hiking Boot

The Utah GTX is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to light hikes in the mountains, this hiking shoe is a real all-rounder. The Utah GTX falls under the category A/B hiking boots. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B hiking boots and somewhat firmer than category A hiking boots. The Utah GTX is an ideal option, especially if you hike longer, but don't want to wear heavy shoes.

The outer material of this hiking shoe is made of nubuck leather and mesh. The shoe has a Gore-Tex lining, which ensures that the shoe is waterproof. The Utah GTX has an outsole with a rubber profile, which ensures good grip on different surfaces.

Material

Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Utah GTX is partly made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you inject nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.

mesh

The outer material of the Utah GTX is also partly made of mesh. Mesh is a synthetic material that is made in different shapes. Due to the use of mesh, the shoe is light, flexible and the breathability is high.

GORE-TEX®

The Utah GTX contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, yet breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

insole

The Utah GTX has a removable insole from Meindl. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.

Outsole

The outsole developed by Meindl gives and ensures good grip and stability while walking. The Gummiprofilsohle Grip soles ensure a good transition of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it gives a good grip and does not retain sludge or soil. The special profile on the toe and heel side provides more grip during ascent and descent.
