Materials

Suede

The outer material of the Torsby SF Extra GTX is made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal skin. It has a velvety appearance and feels soft. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.

Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Torsby SF Extra GTX is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather will make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.

GORE-TEX®

The Torsby SF Extra GTX contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but remain breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

Fit

SF Extra

The SF Extra fit is a combination of Hanwag's Straight Fit (SF) and Wide fit. The SF last gives more space to the toes, especially the big toe. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit in the front is too narrow. The wide last has a normal width on the heel side, but is slightly wider on the forefoot side. This prevents annoying pressure points from developing in walkers with wider feet. By combining this, the advantages of both lasts are optimally combined.

Insole

The Torsby SF Extra GTX has a standard insole from Hanwag. This is a quick-drying, removable insole that contributes to extra comfort while walking. The standard Hanwag insole is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.

Outsole

The outsole developed by Hanwag provides good grip and stability while walking. These soles ensure good movement of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip and does not retain mud or soil.
