Polyamide

Polyamide is a synthetic material made from petroleum. Polyamide is a strong fabric that does not tear and crease easily. It is light, elastic, easy to fold and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyamide is that it does not absorb moisture well.

The FLI Jacket is a two and a half layer jacket. With two and a half layer jackets, the membrane is connected to the outer fabric. On the inside, the membrane is protected by a thin layer. Two-and-a-half-layer jackets are supple and light and have a small pack volume.

water column

The water-repellent capacity of clothing is often described in the form of millimeters of water column. The water column says something about the amount of water pressure a substance can have per square centimeter before it starts to leak. This jacket has a water column of 20,000 mm. This means that the substance leaks through when it is under pressure from 20 meters of water.
