The Icebreaker Quantum Zip Hood is made from a combination of Mesh, Lycra and Merino wool. The Mesh can be found under the arms, this increases the breathability of the vest. 98% of the vest is made of Merino wool, this wool is of high quality and breathes excellent! In addition, the wool does not irritate, which ensures a higher comfort. Another advantage of Merino wool is the odor resistance, Merino wool hardly absorbs odors and carries moisture out. The Lycra gives flexibility to the vest, and makes the vest durable.

Due to the high-closing collar, the elastic thumb loops and an extended back, the vest keeps out cold air. The vest is not waterproof.

Merino wool

Merino is an ancient breed of Alpine sheep. Over the years, they have developed a super fine, highly breathable coat to protect them from icy winters and sweltering summers. It will do the same for you.

• Temperature Control: Merino naturally keeps you warm in cold conditions and it keeps you cool in hot weather.
• Breathable: Merino absorbs moisture and also lets moisture out to prevent overheating and a clammy feeling.
• UV Protection: Merino provides extra protection against sun rays.
• Odor-resistant: Merino is naturally antibacterial, so you can safely wear it for a few days in a row.

Wash

The Icebreaker garments can be washed in a normal warm wash cycle. The type of detergent does not matter, as long as it is washed on garments of the same color. You do have to be careful with bleach and fabric softener, the vest cannot handle this.

When drying, make sure that the vest is not exposed to high temperatures. This means that you should not dry the vest in a dryer, but simply on a clothesline or rack.

1. Separate light and dark laundry
2. Wash a print or print inside out
3. Close all zippers
4. Use a normal washing program (approx. 40 degrees)
5. Use normal detergents
6. Do not add bleach or fabric softener
7. If color permits, occasionally wash with denim (such as jeans or denim jacket) or other coarse fabrics to remove all loose fibers
8. Do not iron any printed prints or labels
9. Dry on a clothesline or clothesline, do not tumble dry
