Salomon Outline Mid GTX men's hiking shoe

The Outline Mid GTX is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to light hikes in the mountains, this hiking shoe is a real all-rounder. The Outline Mid falls under the category A/B hiking boots. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B hiking boots and somewhat firmer than category A hiking boots. Especially when you walk longer, but don't want to wear too heavy shoes, this walking shoe is ideal an ideal option.

The upper material of the Outline Mid GTX is synthetic. The lining of the shoe is made of Gore-Tex, which makes the shoes waterproof. The shoes have a Contagrip® MD outsole, which provides good grip on different surfaces.

The Outline Mid GTX has a removable insole from Salomon . This insole contributes to extra walking comfort. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.

Outsole

The by Salomon developed outsole gives and ensures good grip and stability while walking. The Contagrip® MD soles ensure a good transition of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it gives a good grip and does not retain sludge or soil. The special profile on the toe and heel side provides more grip during ascent and descent.

When the soles of your hiking boots are worn, it is wise to replace them. Worn soles are a risk when walking. Because the profile of the sole disappears, the grip decreases and you slip faster. It will be difficult to say goodbye to the hiking boots that you may have taken wonderful trips with and that you have always maintained well. The big advantage of the Salomon Contagrip soles is that the lower part of the sole can be resoled. So if this part is worn out, you don't have to throw away your shoes.
