This walking shoe falls under the category A/B walking shoes. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B hiking boots and somewhat firmer than category A hiking boots. Nubuck leather

The outer material of this hiking shoe is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated.
