New Meindl Identity collection
With the hiking boots in this new Identity collection, Meindl shows in detail the origin of the leather upper. This creates a 100% transparent life course. It starts on the pasture where cattle live and graze. This is followed by the tannery, where the leather is tanned in an environmentally friendly and chrome-free way in Germany. Finally, the production of the shoes. Since the environment and sustainability are of paramount importance at Meindl, they use leather from the partners and suppliers in the Chiemgau and Salzburg regions.
When the leather is tanned, each hide is manually provided with an identification number. This Identity-Number is registered and can be found on the inside of the cuff. This way you can trace the life course of the leather of your shoes. Check your number now at www.identity-leder.de .
